Metering and self-billing services for a photovoltaic electricity production facility
The Prince's Government decided to implement a policy of incentives to encourage the installation of individual or collective photovoltaic electricity production systems in the Principality of Monaco.
The energy produced may be consumed on site or fed, in whole or in part, into the Monegasque government's distribution network. In all cases, the applicant must, in agreement with SMEG, install a metering system for the energy produced.
Once the agreement for payment of the incentive has been notified, it is up to the applicant to enter into a metering service contract with SMEG. A copy of this contract must be sent to the Department of the Environment to trigger the incentive payment process.

Reminder of the technical prerequisites for starting up a photovoltaic facility:
Be in possession of a compliance certificate issued by an Inspection Office authorising activation;
Sign an agreement with SMEG for the operation of electricity-generating equipment connected to the public distribution network.
Any photovoltaic electricity production facility planned or existing on the date of publication of this notice, with an installed capacity of 3 kWp or more, is eligible for this incentive.
