Keen to preserve its natural heritage, the Principality of Monaco has always been a forerunner in sustainable development, making environmental protection one of its major concerns.
In this privileged context, Société Monégasque de l'Electricité et du Gaz has been committed, from the outset of its concessions, to supporting the Monegasque Authorities in their desire to promote harmonious urban and economic development in the Principality respectful of the living environment.
As energy resources are at the heart of sustainable development issues, SMEG's fields of activity naturally lead to environmental values being taken into account in all operations.

Since 2009, SMEG has carried out annual customer satisfaction surveys in order to improve its efficiency and measure its performance on an ongoing basis.

Among the questions asked to all those surveyed, one of them helps to measure general customer satisfaction.
Successive surveys have shown that customers still have a positive image of SMEG and are, on the whole, satisfied with its services.
However, the analysis of the results, as well as customers' comments and suggestions, taught us a great deal and led us to define several measures for improvement in the following areas:

Quality, safety, environment and energy management
The energy component is crucial: preservation of the environment through better control of consumption in westernised countries, access to energy to improve the quality of life and contribute to the economic development of developing countries, and development of renewable production capacities without CO2 emissions.

SMEG's activities are based on an Integrated Management System covering quality management (ISO 9001), environmental protection (ISO 14001) and health and safety management (ISO 45 0001), Our company has had all three certifications renewed.
