As a Public Service Concessionaire, Société Monégasque de l'Electricité et du Gaz (SMEG) informs its customers and users that information concerning them is processed and stored in several computerised files:
A file dedicated to "customer relations management" interconnected with files dedicated to "electricity and gas riser diagrams", "electricity and gas metering information management" and "rates simulation".
A website.
For personal and property safety, the company also operates a CCTV system, which automatically overwrites data on a monthly basis. Recipient of information: Police Department in case of fraudulent acts.
A telephone switchboard.
Recording of telephone calls on the emergency / breakdown line. Recipients of information: bailiffs, Police Department, Licensor: in case of dispute or claim.
All data processed in these files can only be accessed by SMEG authorised personnel or subcontractors.

Personal data protection in the context of
recruitment management within SMEG and its subsidiaries
Type of data collected
When Applicants use the "Recruitment" section of the SMEG website, they are informed that SMEG's Human Resources Department collects data relating to:
their identity (last name, first name, address, phone number, e-mail address, date and place of birth, nationality)
Their professional and non-professional activities related to the job offered or to the assessment of the Applicant's professional skills (profession and business area, information about the employer, career path).
Mandatory/optional data collected
SMEG's Human Resources Department informs Applicants whether the answers to the form to be completed are mandatory or optional.
For optional questions, Applicants may choose not to answer.
For mandatory questions marked with an asterisk (*), Applicants are required to enter the details to enable SMEG's Human Resources Department to answer the Applicant's request. This data is necessary to assess the application.
Failure to provide this data will result in the application not being processed.
Use of data collected and retention period
Personal data requested from Applicants and processed by SMEG's Human Resources Department is used to manage applications.
This data is retained by SMEG for a period of one year, renewable for one year with the Applicant's consent.
Recipients authorised to process this data
The data collected is intended for SMEG's Human Resources Department, acting as data controller, and may be transferred to the operational manager of the department involved in recruitment and/or to an outsourced recruitment agency if necessary for the management of applications.
Applicants' rights
Pursuant to current legislation, Applicants have a permanent right of access to information, modification and rectification of their personal data, which they may exercise by sending a request by post to SMEG, 10 avenue de Fontvieille, Monaco.
For security reasons and to avoid any attempted fraud, this request must include proof of identity, which SMEG will destroy immediately after verification.
Limited data retention period
In the event of a negative outcome to the application, the personal data transmitted via the Applicant Account will be kept for 1 year.
At the end of this period, the Applicant will be asked to agree to the storage of his/her data for one further year.
Personal data will be deleted if the Applicant refuses or at the end of the retention period.
